This account of aviation in the county of Dorset(as defined after the boundary changesof 1974) from its earliest begginnings by The Channon brothers, William McArdke and J Armstrong Drexel in 1909/10. After this it wasn't long before aerodromes started to spring up in the county. Airfields , civil, military appeared over the years as well as aircraft manufacturers during and after WW2. This book has it all , along with dozens of illustrations, many in colour.
Written by Mike Phipp , an well-known aviation historian from Dorset ,this book is well researched and is a excellent read.
